This privacy policy explains how WALorenZ GmbH ("we", "us") processes personal data when you visit our website or use walorenz.ai. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

1. Controller

The managing director responsible for data processing is Waldemar Lorenz. We have not appointed a separate data protection officer, as we are not legally required to do so.

2. What data we process

a) Server log files

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of the request, and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.

b) Contact form

If you use our contact form, we process the data you enter — first name, last name, email address, and your message — in order to respond to your enquiry.

c) Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send you the requested updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

d) Cookies

We use cookies as described in our cookie settings. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the website & security — legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
• Responding to enquiries via the contact form — steps prior to entering a contract or legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR.
• Newsletter — your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
• Providing the walorenz.ai service to account holders — performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• Non-essential cookies / analytics — your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

4. Recipients and processors

We use carefully selected service providers (for example hosting, email delivery, and AI infrastructure) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Our infrastructure is hosted within the EU. Where a transfer to a third country occurs, it is safeguarded by appropriate measures such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by statutory retention obligations (e.g. commercial and tax law). Contact enquiries are deleted once they are fully resolved and no retention obligations remain.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15);
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
• erasure (Art. 17);
• restriction of processing (Art. 18);
• data portability (Art. 20);
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21); and

7. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.
